    “The Senate on Thursday unanimously passed House Bill 773, which removes an exemption for hunting and fishing camps and farm structures from meeting floodplain regulations. Last year, FEMA warned that unless the exemption was removed by May 5, the state could lose its NFIP certification and 88,000 property owners would lose their federal flood insurance.”

    Good news all around.
    JACKSON — Crisis has been averted for thousands of homeowners, lawmakers say, with today‚Äôs passage of a bill to fix a law that could have gotten the state kicked out of the National Flood Insurance Program.
