Gulf of Mexico Climate Outreach Community of Practice 6 months, 2 weeks agoIn response to Hurricane Sandy, the Humanitarian Disaster Institute has launched a Disaster Spiritual and Emotional Care Tip Sheet Series that they hope will equip clergy and chaplains in their work with survivors affected by the storm. In reply to: Joseph Cluchey posted an update in the group Public & Private Partnerships How are your units of local governments engaging private partners to ensure continuity of the community’s essential functions? ViewI’m not sure if the local community knows exactly how to best engage private partners. Through the work I have done, there is usually a member of the Chamber of Commerce involved at some level and usually the larger chain stores (WalMart, Home Dept, etc) but this is a great question that needs to be explored further.
