Want to learn how to use an integrated tool that maps the various types of flooding impacting communities (storm surge, NFIP, nuisance flooding, and more)?
NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management (OCM) will host a 2nd webinar on the Coastal Flood Exposure Mapper. The next delivery is Tuesday, December 8 from 1:00-2:00 eastern, 12:00-1:00 central.
This is a blended webinar format — participants view Part 1 online at their convenience and at their pace (takes about an hour), and then join NOAA OCM staff for Part 2 – a live, online session on December 8 (also about an hour).

The target audience includes coastal planners, floodplain managers, emergency managers, city officials, and NGOs. Anyone interested in creating maps using NOAA’s Coastal Flood Exposure Mapper (that’s what Part 1 is all about), and who wants to use those maps to engage stakeholders (the focus of Part 2). Part 1 is NOT a pre-requisite for Part 2…if someone already knows how to use the Mapper, or gets their flood maps from another source, they are welcome to attend Part 2 only. And if someone is only interested in creating maps and not necessarily in using them to engage members of the community, they can participate in Part 1 only
