On behalf of The Coastal Areas Climate Change Education Partnership (CACCE), we invite you to submit a topic for a workshop and/or poster session to participate in the upcoming Climate Change Symposium and Showcase for educators on Nov.7 in Tampa, FL.
Funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, The CACCE Symposium and Showcase will bring together hundreds of educators and secondary school teachers working in science institutions from the region to facilitate discussions about innovative educational practices on climate change science, social impacts and adaptation in our communities.
Our keynote speaker Joe Levine, science educator and textbook author, will share his insight and knowledge regarding teaching, learning and preparing for the future. Levine has coauthored widely acclaimed biology textbooks for high school and college, and is known for his outreach efforts to improve public understanding of science through the media and exhibits at informal science institutions. You can read about Joe Levine at http://www.millerandlevine.com/
Call for workshops and posters.
Your organization can participate in the Symposium and Showcase by sharing information about your climate change education activities in a poster session and/or by presenting a workshop.
