The Northeast Regional Ocean Council (NROC) is hosting the second in a series of 3 webinars on Building Coastal Resilience in New England. Please join NROC on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm (EST) to learn about the coastal community resilience projects funded in Greenwich, CT and Marshfield, MA.
The webinar will focus on the municipal perspective of developing data and maps to support planning and preparing for coastal hazards, including coastal flooding and sea level rise. Paul Halkiotis, planner with the Town of Marshfield, MA and Katie Blankley, assistant town planner with the Town of Greenwich, CT, will discuss why new data sets (such as elevation certificates) and maps (such as evacuation routes and inundation) were important to their communities and how the end products have been used to bolster resilience efforts.
Please share this event with your colleagues!
