On Wednesday, November 28th from 12:00 to 1:30, StormSmart Coasts New England will continue its dialogue on Communicating Climate Change with a webinar focused on communicating with journalists and reporters. Who are today’s local journalists and reporters, and what do they need to keep their jobs? How can professionals bring the science and issues of adaptation to reporters in ways that serve them, and at the same time encourage timely, accurate stories on a consistent basis? Roger Stephenson, Vice President of Clean Air Cool Planet, will answer these questions, expose the myths and barriers in media relations and provide an orientation to the new Journalist’s Room on the New Hampshire StormSmart Coasts Network. The Journalist’s Room is built with journalists in mind. Webinar participants will come away with a framework upon which to build their own rooms for their local reporters covering the lives and times of coastal communities throughout the Gulf of Maine. Please forward this to your interested colleagues!
Roger Stephenson is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and Vice President of Clean Air-Cool Planet, an NGO member of the NH Coastal Adaptation Workgroup.
