In addition to NOAA/CO-OPS network of water level gauges, USGS will be placing a large number of temporary surge gauges out along the east coast. I expect these will be posted the website where previous datasets have been:

Storm Surge Communications : 9 months, 1 week agoWe just finished a survey of coastal Mississippi. 4% said Internet was their MAIN source of information. Local TV is the main source for the vast majority. However, 80% said they had access to the internet from home, so no doubt it is a secondary source for a growing number.
